Second Opinion for Cancer

A diagnosis of a malignant tumour can cause considerable uncertainty.

In certain situations, it may be advisable to obtain an independent medical second opinion before making important treatment decisions.

We are here for you

Obtaining a Second Opinion After a Cancer Diagnosis

A second opinion often confirms the proposed treatment plan. However, it can also help to highlight potential alternatives and provide additional confidence in the decision-making process.

For a sound assessment, we require copies of all available documents, for example:

  • Laboratory reports
  • Imaging examinations

  • Pathology reports

  • Existing medical reports

  • Other diagnostic findings

Ideally, registration is handled by your family doctor or your treating physician.

Enquiries can be made by phone or email via our secretariat. We are happy to support you with the organization and further clarification.
