Referrals in everyday practice

Referral Process

Referral to the Tumor Center Aargau is straightforward and well-structured.

Once we have received the documents, we will promptly arrange the further assessments and scheduling, and keep you continuously informed about the progress.

Step by step

How the referral works

  • Compile the documents
    Please compile the relevant documents, such as medical reports, laboratory results, imaging and other diagnostic findings.

  • Submit the documents
    Email the documents to our HIN-secured email address sekretariat@tumor-zentrum.ch.

  • Acknowledgement of receipt
    Within 24 hours, you will receive confirmation from us that we have received the documents.

  • Appointments and further investigations
    Once we have received the documents, we will arrange the further investigations and schedule the appointments.

  • Copy of the appointment notice
    You will receive a copy of the patient’s appointment notice from us.

  • Medical report after the consultation
    After the consultation, we will send you the current or updated medical report so that the patient’s medical history in your practice remains up to date.

Collaboration

Communication and Involvement

Throughout the entire treatment process, we maintain close communication with you as the referring physician. You will receive timely feedback and current medical reports, ensuring you remain involved in the care of your patients at all times.
