Medical coordination within the team

Tumor board: Interdisciplinary decision-making

In the tumor board, all available findings are jointly evaluated and placed into a comprehensive medical context.

The foundation includes histopathological results, radiological imaging, relevant laboratory parameters, and the patient’s clinical situation.

Case assessment is performed interdisciplinarily, involving the participating specialist disciplines – typically Medical Oncology, Radiotherapy, surgical specialists, Internal Medicine, Palliative Care, and, depending on the specific question, other specialized departments.
