Who pays for your treatment?
Insurance coverage
Questions regarding cost coverage often arise before treatment begins.
Below you will find the most important information regarding insurance coverage.
What to look out for
Overview of services
Outpatient services
Outpatient consultations and therapies—for example, examinations or radiation treatments—are covered by basic health insurance or accident insurance. The costs are covered regardless of insurance category (minus deductible and co-payment).
Day surgery procedures
Minor surgical procedures are often performed in day surgery. Patients can usually leave the clinic a few hours after the procedure. These services are also covered by basic health insurance.
Inpatient hospital stay
Inpatient services are billed via mandatory health insurance and—if available—via supplementary hospital insurance (semi-private or private), less the deductible and co-payment.
